Myron Dewey (Paiute/Shoshone): New Media & Film, Digital Media, Webmaster, GraphicDesign, Internet Media (Audio/Video) Video-Blogging, Internet Marketing, and Wireless Communication. Myron Dewey (Paiute/Shoshone) and the founder and President of Digital Smoke Signals a Native owned Business/Computer/Internet consulting Co. since 2003. DSS is focused on digital media that specializes in digital photography, digital audio/video/editing, and the technical equipment used to develop media-based preservation tools for Native languages.

Mr. Dewey is a Haskell Alumni 2003 and just finished his Master’s Degree in Indigenous Nations Studies from the University of Kansas 2007. Myron has worked with Culture Shock Camp for years as a Digital Media Specialist networking, video, audio, a presentor and flutist.

Current projects include Research and Development:

- Academic: 2003 Film Expedition Haskell Indian Nations University, K-State, The University of Kansas. “Powwow The Planet” A project between two Indigenous People’s from two differtent parts of the world. The Indigenous People of Russia “Alti” filmed on the Navajo reservation.

- Wireless Internet Solutions for isolated communities

- Haskell Indian Nations University R/D solutions for a WIFI funded hotspot at Library,

- CG4 Promo video (stage 1 complete) , My Darkest Hour “A Happy frejo Film”. Short films “Indian Country and the Digital Divide”, Language Preservation and the Digital Divide, and Native Youth in Film.
